Prayers to you and your wife. I watched my dad go through hell with colon cancer and a colostomy. With family history I started at 40 with colonoscopies and at 56 I have had 6 so far. It's one procedure I will never miss.

Prayers sent for you and Lisa. I have a couple friends that have gone through major colon surgery and survived.

If you read one of the other threads on colon cancer, you will see my post. I lost both parents to colon cancer. It’s nothing to mess with.

Bobby, prayers your wife has full and speedy recovery.

Perhaps it's a good thing she's an oncology RN. At least she knows the drill. I don't doubt she's a fighter; but this tends to take it out of you.

If you need some help and I don't care if it's running her to dr or taking out the trash, I'm local and at your service my friend.

I pray she'll have the strength to beat this and that you'll be comforted while she fights.

Just an update on my wife.

Lisa finished her 12th and final chemo treatment today. On every other Monday she would go in and get her bags of chemo, then go home with a 46 hour pump of another kind of chemo.

Her last PET scan showed no evidence of disease, (thank you Lord!) Her colon cancer was an extremely rare type called Signet Ring and has a poor prognosis of 8-9% survival rate. The next 2 years will involve lots of check ups, scans and a colonoscopy or two.

Life is looking a little brighter than it was a few months ago. She never complained or asked why me, she handled like it trooper.

We are going to celebrate in June with a cruise and asked some family to go with us to celebrate.
Get this, 54 people and 23 total cabins have been booked. What an amazing turn out.

Thank you to everyone who prayed for her!!!

Great news! Prayers work. May God continue to watch over you both.

Prayers for you and Mrs Wingfoot, and an encouragement to others to go get the exam!

The prep is nothing more than an inconvenience. The knowledge is invaluable.

God bless America.
