This is total BS and another reason I won't step foot inside Chicago city limits and have not for years now. People obey the gun laws and get arrested and charged anyhow. I doubt out governor cares any at all. He is too busy trying to block ICE from doing their job and protecting illegal alien criminals.

The governor and democrats hate that we can own and even carry handguns legally and they will intimidate and harass law abiding gun owners so others will think it is just not worth it. Illinois "democracy" in action where the democrats have total control and piss on our civil rights.

I had the feeling when I saw that local news story, that facts were left out for the dramatic story line.
The local media in Chicago is horrible!
You can always count on every story to be anti conservative and bitterly anti Trump.
The "reporters" are awful, every story is slanted toward a sensational end, actual facts are mostly excluded from any story.
I don't even buy the lost dog stories they sensationalize to avoid reporting on the crumbling City and the Dems running it.

Chicago is so bad that I avoid it. My career has several events at their expos. I simply won't go.

Dude gets arrested for drugs/domestic/robbery… and his FOID & CCL get revoked.
Dude is supposed to surrender the cards. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn’t.
In this incident, it seems like his stuff was valid, and should never have been arrested.

Unless there were some underlying circumstances, which knowing our local CBS news station, they might have omitted a fact or two.

I don't think Channel 2 will ever recover from the Bill Kurtis/Walter Jacobson era.

Born and raised downstate IL. Started my career living downtown Chicago and even in the late 80's it was a screwed up mess. Made my final escape in 2005. At this point I do everything I can to avoid the state.
It's a damn shame as Chicago (area) and its issues drives what happens statewide and ruins an otherwise decent state.
