An unjustified assault has happened on a state legislator for simply trying to perform his state constitutional duties.

On Thursday, Georgia Republican State Senator Colton Moore, a huge Trump supporter, was attempting to enter the State of the State session in the House Chambers before suddenly getting roughly forced to the ground by an unknown male. There are reports that the person responsible is a staffer for Georgia Speaker of the House Jon Burns, though this has not been confirmed.

Authorities do absolutely nothing to the individual who unjustly shoves Moore to the ground.

Following the initial incident, Moore was arrested and taken into custody by law enforcement. Interestingly, he is being held at Fulton County jail, the same jail as President Trump when he was booked back in August 2023.

According to reports, Speaker Burns ordered his arrest. Moore revealed yesterday that Burns previously vowed to arrest him and prevent him from attending the State of the State joint session.

Moore, though, sent a letter defying Burns and said he would attend anyway, calling Burns’ action unconstitutional.

As TGP readers may know, Moore, back in August 2023, moved to impeach disgraced Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis. This followed Willis hitting Trump and 18 others with RICO and conspiracy charges for daring to challenge the 2020 election.

A Fulton County grand jury that same month returned a 41-count indictment which included RICO and conspiracy charges against Trump.

But instead of throwing Willis out of office, State Senate Republicans kicked Moore out of their caucus for daring to make this bold move. The Georgia GOP was pleased to risk Trump spending years behind bars.

What is he being charged with? And why is the guy who committed battery on video in front of a bunch of cops not in jail?

He was charged with interference of official duty of an officer, released on $1000 bond.

Max Burns and Brandon Beech are my State Rep and State Senator for my district. They have been silent.

I suspect it's just a poorly worded Tweet that has been repeated by the lazy media. Trump spent 20 minutes in 2023 in an Atlanta jail as part of one of the egregious lawfare trials.

If the media wasn't so lazy they'd state Colton is jailed in the same jail where Trump surrendered in 2023 and was released 20 minutes later.
