Yes, updated in the last version of iOS. Google Maps too I believe.

I followed directions and tried it; I can hear the prompts but the Waze map does not appear on the CarPlay display. Is that what we've got or can it be displayed? Do I need a CarPlay update from Honda? Edited to add: just updated the Waze app on my phone. _________________________ “Remember, remember the fifth of November!"

I had to stop using Waze. She aways wants me to take the park-n-ride and/or HOV. I am a single commuter. I've tried but know of no way to indicate that I cannot take multi-passenger routes. I now use apple maps. It interacts with my watch and works great. "Meet the new boss, same as the old boss"

I can't remember the details, but I tried WAZE for quite a while a couple years ago, and it was just too annoying with irrelevant stuff. I went back to google maps and I am completely satisfied. WAZE seemed like maybe it was good if you are "really into your directions app" and learn it thoroughly, but I just couldn't figure out all the symbols and irrelevant notifications. Admittedly, maybe I just wasn't into learning enough about it. "Crom is strong! If I die, I have to go before him, and he will ask me, 'What is the riddle of steel?' IIRC Waze didn't seem to know which side of a street or road your destination would be on, while Google Maps did.

I like Waze, and prefer it to Google Maps. Waze seems to get better updates about current traffic and road conditions than Google. For my daily commute, that is valuable. I can't compare it to Apple's service. The fish is mute, expressionless. The fish doesn't think because the fish knows everything.

Comes down to personal preference. I used both when I was on the job. Both have kept me out of traffic tie ups, and me to sites I visited at 2AM in the woods with no problem. I turned off all the notifications except the police one. I don't need to be told about every car or dead deer along the side of the road... Definitely prefer Google maps or the car's navigation for actual navigation. Waze is for avoiding the police on the interstate for the most part. -------------------- I like Sigs and HK's, and maybe Glocks

Still doesn't work with the update? Mine displays the app on the screen as well. iOS 12.1, iPhone X and 2018 Honda Odyssey. I have not updated my car since iOS 12 came out.

Funny since waze is owned by Google.

Google Maps always seems to work better for me when it comes to actual navigation and getting somewhere quicker. Drive times and delay times are more accurate than Waze, though you don't get the warnings about police officers or stuff in the road. J Rak Chazak Amats
