My first vest was GOV issue. I've since invested in a personal set for training and/or unrest. I've also been looking at concealable soft armor as I usually shoot at public ranges and some folks just don't get the four rules.

I'd also suggest looking into it now while the legislative climate is permissive and the supply is available.

I put "interested in purchasing", but I was already on that path well before the crazy started.

I've got the setup selected, but at the time, I didn't have money. Now to get some carriers (e.g. Crye), waits are sometimes 3 months, or chest rigs are completely out of stock and have been for months.

I'll just have to bide my time a bit, because I'm not going to change my selections just to get something that's in stock.

^^^Unfortunately, pretty much EVERYTHING is Out of Stock, EVERYWHERE right now! Lead times seem to be 3-4 months on Plates, regardless of the supplier, and Everything is considered 'made to order' due to the current demand. Also, there is no 'getting on the list'....If you want Plates, it's money up front when you place the order, NOT when they ship!

That said, Level IIIA Soft Armor is a lot more 'available' right now and deliveries are measured more like weeks, instead of months!

Today, I bit the bullet and ordered Level III armor.Too many bad guys already here and, thanks to Biden, more on the way.
