I did read on the bomber. There was a second one at Dothan. Also. Thanks for the info. It was interesting read. I remember seeing one of the b-25 at the Dothan Airport during the 60s

And for the aviation buffs, the restaurant at Deer Valley Airport is pretty good, cheap and overlooks the flight line.

I second this and I'll add the Thunderbird II Veteran's Memorial in Scottsdale. This field played an integral part in first phase pilot training with the Stearman Bi-plane. They trained 5,500 pilots there during the war, including my dad.

They have a working Stearman there and offer flights.

Phoenix is not a walk too it city , but 8 minutes in a cab or uber will get you what you need.
