My wife rarely uses them and when she does i try to fully charge them afterwards. Noticed that when she wants to use them again they are dead. No response dead, screw them inert and stiff dead. She has an iPhone Pro. Both devices are 3 years old and i don’t think she used the pods more than 30 times and mostly for phone calls, little multimedia. I use my Samsung’s Buds + a lot for music and some TV downloaded episodes. Far from daily use. The Samsung’s have never done this. Any clues? Am I expecting too much from the iPods battery? 0-0 "OP is a troll" - Flashlightboy, 12/18/20

I don't think you're going to get three years out of a set of AirPods. I'm on my fourth full set and the last three were all replaced once under warranty. They simply do not last very long. I love them when they work, though.

Are they simply dying without seen much use? Wouldn’t say they have been used for 24hs since day 1. Almost brand new. Was considering buying, for me, the new full over ear Apple headphones but if battery is a joke this will not happen. The depleted battery is a sign of wearing or a normal “feature ” of Apple pods? 0-0 "OP is a troll" - Flashlightboy, 12/18/20

Thank you Very little |
Mine did that, but only one of the two, turned out the charging/storage device was bad, out of warranty of course, had to get a new one... they work fine now.

Since getting hearing aids I've very rarely used my 1st-generation AirPods. (I assume AirPods is what you meant, Nicky, not iPods, which are something entirely different.) I last recharged them... a couple months ago? Not even sure the charger was showing amber when I replaced whichever AirPod(s) I used. Just flipped open the lid. Still showing green. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ "America is at that awkward stage. Airpods only last me about 1.5 years before the sound, the charging, the voice texting or something goes bad. I replace them. There simply isn’t anything that works seamlessly with the iPhone like airpods when they’re working. You’re a lying dog-faced pony soldier

I can never get the dang things to actually seat in my ears correctly. So Never committed to buying a pair. But I really wish the would. Train how you intend to Fight Remember - Training is not sparring. Sparring is not fighting. Fighting is not combat.

Have no luck with the damned Apple ecosystem. Firmware update nuked one of my phones. Loved it and mourned it long time. Next was ok but didn’t last long. My bad living in a country with no official Apple support. Problem arises and you’re SOL, unless you get mugged and seriously harmed for it (parts). Bought an M1 MBP for the wife and it was DOA. Had to buy an iPad while the M1 was replaced. Then is when i bought the Airpods, iPhone and hoped for thebest. Both the MBP and iPad are in pristine condition haven’t been used more that 10 hours in total, just frigging updated and back to sleep. Mu next phone is most likely next year’s Samsung. If my iPhone suffers some catastrophic failure. Like meeting a hammer going at lightning fast speed in the same sense but opposite direction. 0-0 "OP is a troll" - Flashlightboy, 12/18/20

I've had mine be wonky. I have had one be uncharged for example. Thought they were dead a couple of times. I've had mine about 3 years now. I use them 4-5 times a week at the gym. I try to charge them before they indicate they needed it. The indicator doesn't seem to be real accurate.
