He hopped in my lap and now demands I pet him! Tabitha has been feeling MUCH better after her chemo has ended and her hair is growing back, so much she has finally been returning Pippin to his routine after I have cared for him for over a year now. Now he expects "papa" to feed him and do certain things like play on the floor with him with his cockatoo toys. This week as she brought him outside to wait for me to come home from work, he started shouting PAPA!!!!! PAPA!!!! when I pulled into the driveway. I come in and sit down in the chair and for the first time, he hopped into my lap for pets. Small steps with a cockatoo, small steps. As a part of his routine now, he demands Paapaaaaa come out and pet him every afternoon now. I hope one day that he will be my buddy, too.
