Panasonic and Tiger make good middle of the road options. Aroma works (my in laws use one). The Z is what I have. The options have an appeal if you’re looking to cook faster or make porridge

Me too. Rice is easy. A pan on the stove isn't meaningfully harder than a rice cooker.
