This race track, which has been closed for a few years, is just south of Bryan-College Station. As the picture shows, it’s now being used to store some of the flooded cars and trucks from Houston after hurricane Harvey. Supposedly, this makes it easier for the insurance companies to process the insurance claims. There are at least three or four locations in the Houston area with just as many cars and trucks in each location….

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

One hopes they will bring car crushers in to make sure none of these will get on a sale lot.

I think they opened up a field on 71 between LaGrange and Columbus, too. I wasn't there to see, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Sealy-Brookshire area got hit pretty hard as well.

Do you mean like This one which has already made it's way to Virginia for sale? At least they are honest enough to tell you that it has damage. These kind of bastards will be trying to pawn them off for the next 5 years and some poor schlub will be on the receiving end of a very bad deal. My granddad bought a used car back in the 80's, can't even remember what it was now, but it ran for about 2 tanks of gas and then seized up tight. Pulled the motor apart and there was a nice 2 inches of sand packed down in that thing. It should be mandatory for the motors and transmissions to be pulled from the vehicles and dismantled at the very least.

Our State Attorney general has already issued a warning to beware of these flood damaged vehicles being sold without full disclosure.
