I was craving pizza today after a 22 mile spin bike ride, so I made some just the way I like it!
Here is the pie right out of the oven. Mushroom, bell pepper, and turkey meatball pizza:
And here is a plated slice with a glass of my favorite Sea Smoke Pinot Noir:
Yes, I ate the whole pie!

Great pie! Although I shudder at the "turkey" part of it being on a pizza, however if you didn't tell me I probably wouldn't know.
Perfectly round is boring. Homemade pie rocks. My game has improved greatly since going to a steel plate in place of the stone

They taste like regular meatballs.
I tried to make this pizza semi-healthy. Used the turkey meatballs and part-skim mozzarella. It was still delicious.

My homemade pizza tends to be rectangular since that's the shape of my pizza stone. I can make a larger rectangular pizza than I can a round one.

How about a GOOD tomato sauce receipt? I like a real tangy tomato taste, every pizza place around here uses bland tomato sauce, I usually ask them to substitute BQ sauce instead of tomato sauce because the tomato sauce is so weak or tasteless.

I look for the fire roasted canned tomatoes and take a stick blender to it. Add some Italian seasoning and garlic. No longer boring sauce
