Let’s start a new week with a glorious video of some good citizens of Portugal setting a fine example for the rest of the world on how to deal with a pack of JustStopOil, Extinction Rebellion idiots blocking traffic on a busy thoroughfare: https://blackmon.substack.com/...c8-bda4-bd9f65be14e6 _________________________

Good video and I don't know why law enforcement allows these clowns to block traffic and while I don't advocate violence sometimes a good beat down is the only language some people understand. Blocking traffic and preventing people from getting to work or getting home isn't going to get people to agree with you, just piss people off.

When all of America (if not the world) did the same, these “protests” would end. “Remember to get vaccinated or a vaccinated person might get sick from a virus they got vaccinated against because you’re not vaccinated.” - author unknown

On the list of show-stoppers for 'self-driven' cars, is how they would be programmed to handle this nonsense. Options are: 1) stop for anything in the road, or 2) anything else. If #2, it'd be a bonanza for trial lawyers - deep pockets 'causing or risking causation of' injury. If #1, gridlock. Maybe self-driven cars will get equipped with high tech 'cow catchers' on their fronts to deal with protestors, 'window-washers' etc. Meanwhile, those folks surely showed how it's to be done these days.

It's not just blocking traffic to make it inconvenient for people to get around, imagine if this were to happen An ambulance trying to get a critically injured/sick child to a hospital, or a fire engine trying to get to a house fire where a child is trapped. Time is precious in these situations. Every second counts in some cases. The Second Amendment to the United States Constitution. If that happens to me, they're going to get my carbon footprint up their asses. (Figure of speech, could take many forms.) This is at the very least some form of unlawful detainment, even attempted kidnapping. All these turds have to do to stop your car is get enough of them together to lift one driving wheel off the ground. When I read of stuff like this, I wish I had a "bro-dozer" (giant lifted 4wd) truck instead of my little car. The low sloping hood, instead of pushing them out of the way or skooshing them, would be likely to throw them up on the hood and block my view out the windshield. Good for the Portuguese! Here's one of tribal police breaking up a road stoppage. The first 3 minutes are of the protesters piling shit in the road then about 3:30 the police arrive. https://www.foxnews.com/video/6335738130112 No car is as much fun to drive, as any motorcycle is to ride.

I still cannot figure out the mindset of of these Stop Oil type idiots. So they think they're going to sway people by pissing them off and making them late to work or missing flights or God forbid blocking an ambulance on the way to the hospital with someone in trouble? I'd like to know who is paying them to do this.

I really don’t want to define what these people are doing as protests. That perverts the definition. I’ll refer to them as agitators. If society, politicians and their enforcement arms would respond expeditiously and punitively to destructive, disruptive agitators, there would be fewer of them. Frankly, if the first traffic obstacle were run through as could be expected for blocking a lane, this would not still be a thing. Agitators rely on our good nature to impose their bad one. Yeah, I’m sure my first reaction is probably all wrong: 1) Thirty second warning to get the heck out of the way. Impeding traffic simply will not be tolerated. Anyone clearing the road within the allotted thirty seconds will not be charged. 2) At the 30 mark, anyone who hasn’t cleared the roadway gets liberally douched with OC gel, or something similarly nasty, hopefully in a form that will tend to stick to the “sprayees” rather than billowing around in a cloud and causing a lot of problems for the “sprayers”. 3) At the 90 second mark, for any who still haven’t cleared the road, hit them hard and repeatedly with tasers. Keep hitting them until they are off the road, the taser is out of juice, of you’ve hit some arbitrary limit of ten, fifteen, or whatever rides. 4) At the 180 second mark, if there are any protestors left on the road, fire up a seriously boosted water truck (150 to 180 psi ought to do it) and physically blast them off the street. 5) If there is any pushback, have folks standing by to deliver the much deserved beatings with rubber hoses. Feel free to make them hurt, perhaps a lot, but try to set things up in way that no bones are broken. Regardless of when they left the road, anyone who missed the thirty second deadline to clear the road will be arrested and charged. Finally, (and perhaps most importantly) record the whole fiasco. When published, make sure to mention that this was the restrained approach as a one time warning. Should there be another case of folks impeding traffic, the perpetrators should not expect to get off so easily. Yeah, ridiculously reactionary, but I’d guess that it might quickly put a stop to this sort of nonsense.

I laughed at the woman crying after the police got there, "Please, we're environmental protesters!" Yeah, that'll make a difference. "It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual."
