Not a good day today, including a parking ticket in Old City. Trying to pay it online and it keeps saying that there's no ticket by that number on file. Anyone encounter this before? Can you save me the headache of wasting my time on the phone with them tomorrow? ---------------------------- Chuck Norris put the laughter in "manslaughter" Educating the youth of America, one declension at a time.

Could take 24-48 hours to enter their system

PPA is practically the only well-run, self-supporting department in City government. Without parking enforcement there would be anarchy. Gridlock is already mind-numbing, as people double-park at will anywhere they choose. Just past a center city traffic light is my favorite, as the intersection becomes jammed. Sorry about your ticket. I get them too occasionally; the last one I fought, December 26 2014, I beat, but the examiner was not happy about their concession. Their online system works great. If the ticket fail to upload, you can email PPA a request for information. http://www.philapark.org/contact/ Via a reply email you'll be able to attach an image of the ticket. But I'd guess the ticket appeared in their system a couple of hours ago.

Having seen one episode of Parking Wars filmed in Philly, I would keep trying to pay online. It looked like a real zoo with lots of disgruntled people and unhappy workers. Most systems have a lag for entering this data.

The whole Philly parking system is irretrievably broken, you might not even have to pay the damn thing and they would never know.
