Did a little reorg of the gun shtuff!
Got a few too many firearms, the safe I was looking at was gonna be a bear to move, and since I move every 3 years that was a no go. So I settled on a little safe remodel project and I’m happy with the results.

Move all ammo to the closet on basic shelves, cost me 100$.

Took the generic “organizer” and Sheetrock off the door. Look at this janky ass mess…I mean wow.

Bought some sheet metal, painted it, and secured it.

Bought a few more items from “Gun Storage Solutions” and all the handguns fit now.

Obligatory group photo while I situated everything.

Final result:

The littlest one got a “closet” remodel as well.
She’s been changing 4x a day and hanging/organizing her own clothes. Any guess as to her favorite color?

Nice!

After a recent inheritance (and a small buying spree) I'm at the point of needing some space myself.

I think I'll look at Gun Storage Solutions as well. Link?

BTW, the sheetrock on the door is a fire retardant feature. The sheet metal is not going to block any heat...

Looks good. What did you use to attach the mags on the door? Do you have any insulation on the back of the metal on the door?

Tracking, the safe serves to keep kids out. I don’t foresee it stopping and real fire damage in its original state.

That magazine storage setup is sharp, Mr. Otto!

I was 3D printing some magazine holders not too long ago, but your solution is even slicker. (Assuming one has a huge span of sheet metal to work with.) Cool

Very nice! You have the pistol bases nicely covered. Now, on to revolvers...

Cute little one. Be prepared. Her taste will go from pink to magenta to purple as she ages. Very typical progression for little lady’s

Sweet little girl!

Nice pics of all the storage ideas which I am planning to steal (some at least) for me.

I can't make out from the pic how he did his magazine holders. How did he do it?

Nice job, but you have a serious 1911 deficiency.
+1 on the storage solutions, found them years ago at a gun show.
