Get the Lowe's Kobalt 40 volt. This thing does a ton of work between charges, even on 3 to 4 inch live oak. We have the kit with extension chainsaw and hedge trimmer. It has replaced my 11' Stihl gas pruner for most jobs.

Are you allowed to do controlled burns? If you can burn that stuff out in the winter and keep it at bay with the proper weed killer that would be ideal.

These Carbide 3 TPI rip through smaller wood stuff under 3 1/4", that is not worth firing up the chainsaw for and last a long time. I like them because they are safer than a brush blade on a weed wacker.

Exactly what I've used. Used the 9" version last week to top ~25' of pear tree. Cut through everything 12" thick to 2". For the smaller stuff used my loppers.
