You've never had a Golden Retriever! Big Grin

I like the blower idea. I may have to give that a try.

THAT’S A MALAMUTE!!!

A wooly malamute at that.

Mine acts the same way around loud and unfamiliar noises.

4 hours of grooming for free! I was wondering what all this was going to cost, and thinking the owners deserved to pay every penny.

Am I the only one to think, how could the owners let it get that bad?

Yes and no. We have to shave our woolly every 6 months or so. Shaving is cutting back that black coat you see in the video (these dogs have a four layer coat) just to get to the layers you saw her blowing out.

Our dog gets some meds to control the anxiety and he still acts like the one you saw. But, the Malamute in the video really did not like the brush where ours loves it.

Oh and trimming the fur around his paws is a fight but in the end, i think our Malamute is highly appreciative of the effort just like one in the video.

Though tbh, we’ve never let Remington get close to being as bad as the video dog was in the beginning. That boy must have been downright miserable.

No, that does look to be neglect right there. I have watched many of her grooming videos and that boy wins fur ball of the year. She does good work.

I was visiting a friend and his wife was brushing their shedding husky. She got 4 paper shopping bags stuffed full of fur.

Those are rookie numbers for a woolly Malamute. Wink

Go to any of the animal rescue channels on YouTube and you'll find plenty of cases of overgrown and matted animal coats. Sometimes the pile of fur removed is bigger than the original animal. Also overgrown horse hooves.

My husky continuously sheds. Fur is a way of life now.

I used to drop the top then hop on the freeway and get up to speed and you just see dog fur flying out of the car.

They do. I was the kennel boy, xray tech, asst surgeon and groomer at Dads Vet Hospital when I was young and way into college age. MANY dogs came in horribly matted. Cats too. Some so bad it completely held the poo. Very nasty.
