| Rest in Peace Mr. Aaron. Wasn't a Braves fan, but once he tied the record, watched every game I could watching for the record breaking one. A different era of sports for sure back then.

| Bill Buckner was my first favorite baseball player, so I always watch him futilely climb the fence in left field when I watch this HR replay.

| RIP Hank. I still have a Louisville Slugger Henry Aaron bat I bought in the mid-70's. It's been well used and the machine inscribed signature is pretty worn, but it is still a solid bat.

| I met him covering some baseball get together in the later 70's. He was standoffish and seemed unhappy. Not surprising as he was not that far removed from his HR record quest and the ugliness that brought. I was honored to be in his presence, attitude notwithstanding. As a Cub fan kid in the 50's, it was easy to root for the nearby loaded Milwaukee Brave team of that time. RIP Hank (not Henry) Aaron.

| Really a shame. Aaron was a terrific person and a great baseball player. Wish there were a lot more current day players that had Hank's personality and focus. He will be missed.

| Heard an interesting stat today.. if you took away all 755 of his home runs, he'd still have over 3k hits.

Yes, his HR record often overshadowed the fact that he was a very complete player. He was the first player to reach 500 Hrs and 3,000 hits. He was also the 3rd player in MLB history to achieve 30 stolen bases and 30 HRs in a single season (1963). He is also the career leader for RBIs (2,297), along with extra base hits (1,477) and total bases (6,856). . |

| R.I.P. Hammerin' Hank!
I grew up in Milwaukee (after Hank's playing days), and his son was one of my high school teachers. One night during a student-faculty basketball game, his IROC Camaro got torched to a crisp in the parking lot! Hank's son's car, to be clear, NOT Hank's. The word around school was that the son was NOT the same class act as Hank! |

He heard that African-Americans were reluctant to get the vaccine and he was encouraging them to do so. He hadn't got his second shot yet. I've read several reports and, so far, they only say that he died peacefully in his sleep.
I am sad to see him leave this planet. I hope they release his autopsy results.I heard he got the vaccine and it could be a pure coincidence, or being related. I would like to know before I get mine although really may not matter.

| I will really date myself and recall seeing Aaron play in the old Crosley Field in Cincy against the Reds. That was Baseball. R.I.P. Hank Aaron.
