Camouflage. Misdirection. Not expected.

My buddy has a workshop, one section looks nice and neat and organized.

The back section looks like, well, not so much.

There are a couple of old pop machines, an old pinball machine, looks like junk. There is a job box with an added hidden floor that allows some guns and ammo to be hidden. It’s bolted down and really just holds anything from junk to meh so-so cheapo tools, extension cords, just whatever.

However, the pop machines were stripped out inside and now hold guns, as well as the pinball machine.

You’re not going to open them in a hurry and that’s the plan.

They look like shit, wiring looms and misc parts are sitting on and around them, etc.

Those guns are going to be overlooked while there is another safe, a good one, there with some decent guns and ammo. This one can be opened quickly as needed.

The idea is to tempt the thieves with the obvious low hanging fruit while the good stuff is hidden.

And as usual, never talk about, brag, show, or in anyway let anyone know you have anything.

You get the idea.

And if you hide your guns in an old pinball machine, don't tell your friends. There's no telling who or where they'll tell. Wink

Gentlemen:
The overwhelming majority of residential burglars spend less than one minute in a victims residence.
Most "gun safes" will deter them. I only had one burglary I investigated where the thieves attacked a Liberty safe with a pry tool, probably a crowbar. No entry. And investigation later showed it was a family member who knew the home owner was out of town for several days.
Is this a guarantee your safe wont be compromised? Nope. Just my experience. And the best hiding spot I saw was a hollowed out water heater.
