billpoczWhat’s the most disappointing firearm you’ve ever purchased?
Had to be the Kahr P45 pistol.
I had a PM9 that I actually liked and thought, "Heck, bigger is better", so I got the larger caliber.
Could not hit the broadside of a barn, and it really smacked my hand!
Oh yes, the Mosquito is on that list too.....

TMatsA Colt Compact. Parkerized finish, so I guess it didn’t qualify to use the name, Commander. FTF, FTE constantly. There didn’t seem to be any ammunition that it really liked.

egregoreSmall-frame .38/.357 revolvers. My three (over a period spanning two decades) were a S&W 640-1, Colt Agent and Ruger SP101. Unlike my previous example, there was nothing wrong with their quality. I just couldn't hit anything with them. Their role as a backup/deeper concealment/"stick in my pocket for a quick errand" gun has been taken over by the Ruger LCP. Although not fun to shoot due to "trigger sting", I can at least hit the target.

sredingSig 232 - went to the gunshop for a different pistol - saw it in the case and bought it in stead. I think I still have scars from the slide bite.

pbslingerI had already gotten used to Remington 700s and got a deal on a new Ruger 77 223 in a pretty walnut stock. First problem was the trigger, not adjustable like the 700. Figured out what you saved by scope mounts and rings coming on the 77, you needed to spend on an aftermarket trigger. Then it wasn't accurate like a 700 and the fore end was kind of flimsy. I sold it and bought a 700 Classic in 223. They used to offer them in one caliber per year and pretty much if you didn't get one, that was it. It is accurate enough. Wish I had several other 700 Classics.

ruger357Kimber warrior. It was a single shot.
Colt commander during the lowest QC times apparently. The safety flopped around and would jam 3 or 4 times per magazine.

Mad MaxThere's a few, but off the top of my head I was really disappointed with my Ruger SP101 in 22lr. It was the newer model with the 8 shot cylinder. I could not get it to group well with any of the ammo I tried through it.

HRKMy disappointing firearm award goes to my first sig the P250. Bought it right as they came out and it ended up being so bad you couldn't get it to fire more than a couple of rounds and it would jam.
Funny thing is I found a used P250 380 many years after in the used case and bought it for under $200. Couldn't pass it up, still like the P250's hammer fired design.

limblessbiffSpringfield XDS in .45 what a pos. It was chewing up the guide rod where it meets the barrel even though I used grease and I just couldn’t hit shit with it. Not to mention the trigger was terrible. Maybe in 9mm they were better.

Me too! I bought one as soon as they hit the market and it proved to be a jammomatic!
Although SIG had a program where they would repair/replace it, I kept it!
Why? As a firearm instructor, I use it to teach how to clear malfunctions!

PerceptionSig P245. The 245 is great, unfortunately for some reason I can't shoot that particular gun worth a damn. I can shoot all my other pistols acceptably, but not that one. I hand it to my brother or dad and it's a tack driver, but when I shoot it I'm both inaccurate AND inconsistent.

FenderBenderMy 4th gen Glock 32, wouldn't feed regular hollow points, but the Hornady Flexlock worked perfectly.
It did end up with me moving to that 135 grain in a 9mm+P I did lose 155FPS but I can carry 21 rounds in the same size footprint.

the one I have hasn't broken (yet), it doesn't have a lot of rounds through it, and I've used it to teach my kids how to clear a jam
also, it shoots the CCI decently

pbslingerI must credit a kind salesperson who advised me to not buy a Laseraim 1911. I don't know how bad they really are, but I'm glad I didn't find out.

Very small 9mm pistol.
I picked up one of the first available when they came out - in 2002, I think it was.
It was built well, but I couldn't hold onto it tightly enough to keep it from jamming all the time.
I don't think I ever got through an entire magazine without a jam.

S&W in 3” and 5”.
These were the start of a set. Smith put out a 357magnum in 3,5, and 7” barrel lengths. They had special grips with, you guessed it, 357 emblazoned in them. I searched for each one for quite some time. I wound up with two of the 3” models and one of the 5” models. I never did locate a 7” pistol.
I shot each one. Poorly.
With my Rugers I am (was, it’s been a while) able to place all my shots inside an 8” pie plate at 25 yards. I could not shoot any of the Smiths even to minute of barn.
I changed grips…same result. I shot hundreds of rounds. Same result.
So I traded them off.
