Thank you everyone for your kind words, thoughts and prayers. This last week have been difficult coming to term with her medical outcome. Spent the last 3 days dealing with the hospital case management team to select the final hospice network and long term care facility. Hopefully everything get approved and she can be transferred tomorrow. I am emotionally drained and physically worn out. Reading your posts was very uplifting ending to today. Good night my forum family and thank you.

My prayers to you and your family. I understand what you’re going thru. My wife and I are taking care of 3 elderly women. It’s not easy.

ORC,
Your mom, your family will be in my thoughts as I pray for grace and mercy. Since we are on the same journey, you can reach me via my email if you like to talk. Take care of yourself too. - Thai

Mom was transfered to the nursing home late yesterday afternoon. I asked all her grandkids and their kids who were in town to visit her yesterday as well. She was very happy to see them all. They stayed for a couple of hours and my sibling and I stayed for a while longer.

I was dreading the move would have shattered her already mentally and emotionally state which wouldn't have been good for her health. She is already struggling eatting and drinking fluids which is the main reason why she was in hospice.

I'm planning to bring a few of her personal items to make a stay as comfortable as possible.

Please continue to hold her in your thoughts and prayers for her to recover her ability to take the nourishment her body need. Thank you.

Sorry to hear about your mom’s situation. Sounds like she’s still mentally well, which is a good thing.

Side note. I see that her last name is Vu, which indicates to me that she might have originally come from the same village (Bồng Hải) in Vietnam that my parents were from.
