Well, I have been looking for floor liners/mats for my Subaru WRX hatchback, as it didn't have any when I bought it.<BR><BR>I'm kinda of stuck on which one to get. I like the three choices. Kind of like to hear what is preferred.<BR><BR>The Weather tech laser fit floor liners are the most expensive, and I like the ones in my friends VW Passat, but I don't like one aspect, the seam to be a little slippery.<BR><BR>The Husky floor liners in my friends Toyota Tacoma seam as nice, and suffer from the same slippery feel.<BR><BR>The factory all weather rubber floor mats are the cheapest in cost, and not as nice looking, but aren't slippery.<BR><BR>ARmanSo, of the three choices which one would you get and why.Weather tech laser fit floor linersHusky floor linersFactory Subaru all weather rubber floor mats

I have Weathertech in my Superduty (because I thought they were the best) and bought some Husky mats for my new Tundra. They Husky xact fit mats are superior in every way. The fit, texture, thickness, and locating features are better.

I have a set probably from the early 90s in my Toyota Hilux and they are still doing their job well there too.

I have Weather Tech's in the truck and would not hesitate to buy them again. However, I'm going to go with 3D Maxpider Kagu for my wife. Good reviews and cheaper than WT's.

I don't have personal experience with Husky's. They get good reviews - I just didn't like how much more flexible they were.

The last few sets I purchased were Aries. They are super nice,consists of 3 layers not just molded rubber.

Weather Techs quality has substantially declined in recent years.
I have had them in 4 vehicles now and with my last two purchases I will not buy them again. They are super thin compared to the past.
Hot weather heats them up and and they no longer have the proper shape and cup in around the edges from your feet putting pressure in the middle.

I got 3D MAXpider ones of Amazon for my vehicles and have been very happy with them.

Front set was $71, molded perfectly and have a nice texture to them

I've used Weathertech's in my trucks forever but now have Husky Xact in my Tundra. They beat Weathertech to me.

I put Huskys in my 2014 Ram when I bought it almost 4 years ago, bought them because back then they cost considerably less than the Weathertechs did.

They've help up well and I'd buy them again.

Weather Tech for me. I’ve also used OEM with great results. I am a WT fan, though as I also get their rain guards being in central Florida.

I put Husky's in my pickup in 2008 and my Camry in 2013 and would not hesitate to purchase them again. Made in the US and a lifetime warranty.


ETA: Why did I buy Huskys? The first set I bought from Cabelas because I had points on their card so they were kind of free to me. They worked so well that when the next vehicle came along it was a no brainer to get another set for that car.


Did your friend put something on them like Armorall? That would make them slippery.

I just got a new Highlander and wanted another set of Weather Techs. But man they are expensive. Went on E-Bay and found another set of lazer fit mats. Weird name , Yita Motor floor mats. The W.T. front mats were $127. The Y.M. mats were $86 for front and rears. I thought if they're no good I can always return them. They show up and except for the Y.M. tag they were identical to WT mats. Very pleased.

I have used Weather Tech in my 2 vechiles but after reading this post I will look into Husky for my next set.

I put Weathertech in my Rubicon, now has 43K and they've held up well. Lot's of sand, rocks and dirt, they show wear but still fit well. The badging has fallen off, the Velcro pads have become unglued but they stay in place. I'd buy again, although I wouldn't spend for the rears and cargo mat like I did this time.

Weather tech is pretty much my standard.

A rag dipped in maple syrup can get rid of the slickness you object to. It will leave a pleasant outdoorsy smell to be enjoyed for weeks to come.

I'm now also looking at the 3D MAXpider floor liners. I never knew about them and they look very nice and have great reviews.

This ain't gettin' no easier! LoL

Plus I ordered some for an 07 Honda CRV. Only to find out they covered up the air flow vent on the front bottom console. Thru Autoanything, they put me in contact with an engineer at "Weatherdick", and they denied the fact. I sent them pictures, the specific model of mat I ordered, and while they agreed it blocked the air flow, it was 'supposed" to be that way....Huh?!!!!!!!!!!!! So, I no longer am a long time customer of theirs.

Weathertech is the "big name" but a lot of owners report curling issues with them. Husky is cheaper and tends to get a lot of people who were frustrated with the Weathertechs, and are very pleased.

I just got a set of the 3d Maxpider Kagus for my Tacoma, and I think they're the best I've seen. Fit is perfect, and you can tell they're going to be super easy to maintain. They also have a line of carpet liners that are the same custom fit. I haven't seen any reports of curling yet.

And they're about half the price. I don't think you can go wrong with these. If you want, I can take some pics of what mine look like.

I like Weathertech on seats with the holding pins. No pins and they do not stay in place all that well. A few nibs on the bottom would have helped them.
