Well I took it to my local luthier and he said it seemed more like a scrape in each side rather than a chemical burn. He said not really worth trying to repair as it’s so small and mostly unnoticeable unless up really close. I still think it was a contact issue, but it is peculiar how fast it happened. I really feel I would have noticed the wear earlier has it been there and a couple pics I took of the guitar when I first got it I zoomed in and it looks fine in that area, albeit a bit blurry so either it wasn’t present or the camera didn’t pick up the detail. Either way, whatever, I’ll just keep it in the case or maybe coat the stand with some cotton cloth we’ll see. She still looks and plays beautifully so who cares anymore I suppose.

I will not say how many guitars I own as the Wife sometimes breezes through here, But seriously, there are differences, big ones. I won’t leave a $5000 guitar on the wall permanently. In the case she goes. That being said, I have 12 hangers, from a large store here in Nashville. These are the same/extras they had and the Manager is a friend. People will spend BIG bucks on a guitar and go to Amazon for hangers. I have seen it many times. I nor the store has ever had a problem. Sometimes I’ll leave 4 or 5 out for a few days if I am working on something, Otherwise the case it goes.

The first dent or scratch hurts the worst. Always. Enjoy that beautiful Les Paul, man. ______________________________________________ “There are plenty of good reasons for fighting, but no good reason ever to hate without reservation, to imagine that God Almighty Himself hates with you, too.”
