That is a very moving piece by the Post. Kinda puts Trump in a spot though. How can he attend this one funeral and possibly have to turn down other requests and how can he make it not look like a political ploy? Tough choice. I can easily see President Trump attending this funeral. It's just something he would do, IMO. As for the 'political angle,' I would tell the msm to shove it (I mean, of COURSE they will complain if he goes, but they would be just as likely to complain if he declined). The family invited him - it's not like he went out campaigning to attend one of these funerals. Fear God and Dread Nought Admiral of the Fleet Sir Jacky Fisher

I wish she had asked personally/privately, perhaps through her Senator or Representative; bet President Trump would have happily done so, even with no press coverage. His SS detail would probably have preferred it. ____________________

It will be interesting to see what happens. President Trump didn’t say he’d go (which was the smart thing, and likely made his SS folks happy), but my guess is he’ll go because he feels it is the right thing to do, not for any political reason. Time will tell. It matters not what the Lame Stream Media or the twatternazis have to say. They’ll have something negative regardless.

I believe our real President will find a way to attend.

At the end of the day, the mother has politicized the funeral, and not President Trump. His attendance would not change that. His non attendance would, though I think he has a bit more subtlety than people give him credit for. I'll bet he'll meet with the family in a controlled environment (keeping SS happy) and allows some press so the mother can get her message out in her grief. That sounds like a great plan. "It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." If he chooses to go, I think he should make a statement beforehand to Tucker, and other's who would be fair with the message. To the effect, the statement is to "answer the question", that, yes, he will attend to any and all that ask, and that he request the press not make a spectacle over it, but allow the families their peace. Then go, and remain low key. Meet the families in private and enter/exit as quietly and without fanfare. It all could be done. The haters are going to do what they are bent to do, in any event. Playing into their hands (not going) because of what the might say? They will say anyway. If he goes, he's pandering, if he doesn't, he does not care about them. In any event, I hope he does contact and if they desire, meet with the families. "the meaning of life, is to give life meaning" ✡ Ani Yehudi אני יהודי Le'olam lo shuv לעולם לא שוב!
