The couch beacons like the grim reaper,.. or the casket. The treadmill beacons like the clothes line. Wink

Best of luck to you brother! The trick is to lock in the habit. Start small so to make THAT step easier. Once the habit is locked-in, it will be inconceivable to you to not do your session. Then you know you got it. And you'll lift your own mileage as time goes on.

One more word of advice. Brooks. Glycerines if you're totally new to this. They're juicy. Avoid hyped new brands. If you've never heard of them, steer clear for a bit.

And when you fall off the horse, because you almost certainly will, for one reason or another (illness, vacation, burnout), nudge yourself to get back on.

Once you get used to the feeling of being fit--feeling good, looking good, being able to do stuff effortlessly, you're inclined to not want to lose that.

Just did ten minutes on mine at a 2:25 pace, after breakfast and before coffee, this morning Smile

I'll do another ten after lunch, and a final ten just before or just after dinner.

I'm sorry, but you're in direct violation of SHC 575 (Sigforum Haiku Code). Would you please step out of the thread and touch your index finger to your nose while reciting Hamlet's Soliloquy on one leg.

In SHC 575 form:

Couch is my best friend,
Exercise - overrated
Why when I can nap?

I may not know much about the SHC, or even exercise, but I am absolutely sure that Hamlet never uttered "A Soliloquy on One Leg."
