Advice on Deck replacement Reston, VA appreciated.
For Daughter and Son In Law. SigForum gave them a great plumber and roofer, so they’re asking again.

Consider LockDry aluminum decking. Not cheap, but worth it.

What is their budget? Do they prefer pressure treated pine, cedar, composite such as trex?

Reston has a strict HOA, be sure they submit application before

I was thinking Trex would be best but the aluminum looks interesting too. Guess I need to have them check if their homeowners association has requirements as to material before going further. Thanks.

As a va contractor we are replacing our sons deck with the mid grade Trex this fall. It is made in Winchester so our pricing is very competitive.

Just make sure the joists are 16” on center.
