Double exposure on Samsung phone Login/Join
Just because something is legal to do doesn't mean it is the smart thing to do.

A while back I asked about ordering phones (Amazon) and setting them up.
I took the plunge, ordered 2 a16 models and set them up myself.
First phone (mine) was the guinea pig and went fairly good with a couple minor glitches. Next I did the wife's new phone and it seemed go good but had a glitch show up after doing the updates per Samsung.
My phone only called for 1 update and her's called for 3. After the 3rd up date the screen has what appears to have a screen shot permanently on the screen. Gives it a double exposure effect. 4 app icons on bottom never change and do nothing when tapped but other icons are above them and will change as you swipe sideways. There are 2 lines white dots that indicate the screen position, lower line is permanent like the icons. upper line moves with screen changes.
3 little icons at bottom for "open all pages", "home screen", and "back one page" are in the double exposure mode is the very part of screen like the time in the upper left corner.

Anybody ever deal with this or heard of it before?

That'd be my guess too. GJGALLIGAN - long press on the home screen - it'll open that widget and you can then change/set the home screen/background. Try to change it to something else to see if that helps. If nothing else you can always do a factory reset, but it doesn't sound like a common software issue to me.

Good news/bad news

The good:
The wall paper was on our old phones and we wanted it on the new phones. Her old phone was much older then mine (I'm kinda rough on them) and the wall paper didn't transfer over to her new one. I'm not sure how she manged to get but it was screwed up. None of her pictures transferred at set up.
I had her take a picture and use it as wall paper and it was fine.
The bad:
The (old) wall paper is a picture of our dog when it was 8-10 weeks old almost 15 years ago. My wife never had children and this dog is her "baby".

The search is on in all my old files to find that picture.
Wish me luck!
