So, I got almost all the way through my absentee ballot and I feel solid about all my choices except one. My options for US Senator are:
Diane “Wicked Witch of the West” Feinstein or Kevin “Ghost Gun” De Leon. Frankly, the thought of voting for either one of them makes want to puke, but I wonder if there is any advantage to our cause of one over the other. Both are rabidly anti-gun. De Leon would be more junior, have seniority and thus committee options, but he is even further and more rabidly leftist than the witch. Additionally, he is younger and will like last longer before kicking the bucket.

Do I just stick with my first instinct which is to leave that race blank, or is there any good to be done in this situation?

Thanks in advance!

I’m not sure I could mark a ballot for either one, so while it is not a gratifying choice, I would have to skip.

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

I'm with JALLEN, just leave it blank.

For decades, I've been advocating that all elections have a "None of the Above" option, but nobody listens to us.

There have been years that I just didn't vote at all, given the horrible choices in Illinois, especially when I lived in Crook County, so don't feel like you're alone.

What the hell? Those are your only two choices? For US Senate? Seriously? Good lord, California is evil.

Yes, I'd leave it blank.

The devil you know (Spystein), besides why help a younger commie get into the Senate earlier. Lots can change in 6 years and quite frankly, it'll be easier to get rid of SpyFi than Che.

When having to make a choice between 2 bad choices, you always pick the lesser of the 2. Feinstein is old and may kick the bucket anyday, she is predictable from the past, I would vote for her just due to her age and let the chips fall where they may.

What, there is no Libertarian or independent on the ballot? If not, do a write in and take a vote away from those 2 traitors.

Do you have the option for a write-in? If so, vote for who you WANT to give your vote.

I like the way you think, but for these two particular individuals “Hang them both.” Might be a better option. Wink

Yes, and the worst part is that it was a so called Republican (Abel Maldonado) that cut a deal to cast the deciding vote to go to “Highest two vote getters” instead of the traditional one of each party. I don’t even remember what he got for it, but it was something that benefitted him personally. Darn all poop stain politicians!

I hear you, but one of these two reprehensible poop stains _will_ be going to Washington to represent me. My instinct is to vote “none of the above” (or better, “hang them both” Wink), but neither of those is happening, however much I might wish it. Given that reality, the question is, “Can I help things toward the less stinky (if there even is one) of the two poop stains?”

You don't have a republican choice? A place where you only have a choice between two democrats?

No wonder California is such a shit hole and has been lost.

I think you vote in a way that makes strategic sense to you.

In VA, you can vote in either the Republican primary or the Democrat primary. Back in 2008 McCain had no viable challengers by the time it got here, so voting in the Republican primary was meaningless. As a result, I voted in the Democrat primary for Hillary Clinton over Barack Obama. At the time she seemed the lesser of two evils for the Dems, but actually "pulling the lever" for her made my skin crawl. Thinking back on those three, those were the worst choices I ever faced in a voting booth.

There’s a good argument that Feinstein needs to be defeated due to her despicable treatment of now-Justice (yeah!!) Kavanaugh. In that case, vote for the fake Hispanic.
I don’t know yet what I’m going to do, though.

Go with Feinstein

At max, how many more terms does she have (maybe just this one? )? If mr. Ghost guns gets in, he has a lot. Plus, he might just make a case for the clueless to keep him in (IMHO, he's much was (read "radical") than sheis)

And as for leaving it blank, I've always considered that as giving a vote to the other person.

Oh, and please vote Yes on prop 6.

Ultimately who cares who you vote for or who wins. The focus should be on winning every senate race the GOP can win whereby making whoever sits in Feinstein's seat, as well as the Dem minority, irrelevant. There are certain liberal races where only human waste will be the eventual winner. Just forego those races and lets win all the rest.

In California the two highest vote getters in June are on the November ballot, even if they're from the same party. In our case (ca) it's *I believe her just cause" Feinstein and "ghost gun Sally " leon

Feinstein = Evil

De Leon = Buffoon

Either one will basically be in for life. When Feinstein kicks the bucket Newsom's appointee will have the power of incumbency. That would probably be worse than having De Leon.

I don't know which to choose.

Instead of leaving it (paper ballot) blank, with possibility of someone at polling station voting for you, I suggest writing in a "No Vote".

Arnie "reformed" the primary system in CA. It's called a "jungle primary." Google it-it's interesting.
