Bendable, you had a post about Thorlo socks, but you change thread titles and ask for deletions so often I can’t find the original posts.

Anyways, my wife spends a lot of time on her feet. She has some back issues and is always bitching about her shoes and insoles.

You are always going on and on about these socks. So I figured if bendable thinks they are this damn good, and they’re 25% off, shit, give them a go.

I ordered five pairs for my wife. Long distance walkers and 12 hour shift socks.

You my friend, have given me the opportunity to have been exalted into best gift-giver status of all our marriage.

So thank you bendable. You’re weird, and kind of an enigma. But I owe you a debt of gratitude, a beer, and a cheeseburger if you ever come back to Arizona.

Thank you. My wife loves her socks.

Glad to hear you like them , I purchased 9 pair for three of my friends , during the currant sale and all three said the same thing .

I learned that they only have between 90 and 100 employees . They own their own mill and then in a second city they have their looms set up with their packaging and shipping.

It's kinda nice of you to take the time, I wonder on a regular basis if my time here is only for me. Thank you.

I did not know about their factory out let store,
until this morning
but they have some price reductions going on , for a limited time.

Quality socks make a world of difference. Before the quarantine, a bunch of friends and I we all went out for food & drinks to catch up, several of them are building engineers or, some trade specialists. The topic hit on boots and socks...we must've spent half of our time out, just talking about socks, stories about educating co-workers who went cheap on their socks and how many socks each person has bought.

Thorlo, Bridgedale, Darn Tough, Smartwool, Farm-to-Feet, Wigwam, Injinii....there's A LOT of good sock brands out there, so much so you should only buy during promotion periods.

Now, why would you think that? The forum is where people can post lots of things, thoughts, bitches, etc. People read them and, some acknowledge & some don't. However, a post will often resurrect in someone's mind with a need or a question. I can think of numerous times where my SigForum reading (and memory of those) have taken me back here to re-read and sort out my problem. There are too many posters, including yourself, who have helped me out in the past. Believe me, members appreciate you and each other!!!!!

Thanks!

My best friend of over 55 years finally found that out,
he works on his feet all day every day , he's wearing great socks now, as of a year ago.

Now I have to hound the hell out of him to get out of the cheap ass work boots and in to some well fitting ,comfortable boots.

how anyone could suffer through ill fitting cheap ass work boots for 35 years is beyond me .

I also want to thank bendable for that post. I love their socks and saved a bundle on them. Don't forget the donate code either.

It's an attitude that good enough, is acceptable. Mediocrity is within reason.

If your career is spent on your feet, perhaps investing in quality footwear and taking care your feet is a wise investment which will pay-off on the downside/second-half of one's career/life.

I tried the Red Wing merino wool socks (mid weight) due to so many members recommending them. And the sales guy mentioned them while I was there to buy insoles.

Tried and was hooked. Feet stay dry, socks last forever and good for people who might have smelly feet.

Since then, I've bought more of the Red Wing socks, bought some Darn Tough from Gander Outdoors (thinner for when wearing cowboy boots). Some Smart Wool tall socks for a pair of boots which rub my calves. Woolrich socks from Meijer on clearance.

I've not wore a pair of cotton socks since trying the Merino wool socks and I've also yet to put a hole in a pair!

SOLD, SOLD, SOLD!!!

As much as my wife is hyping these socks, similar to the second coming of Christ, I might just have to order a few pairs for myself.

The Thorlo outlet store rocks the socks. I've left there with two shopping bags full, just to keep some in reserve.

After hearing all the excellent comments and the fact they’re a 100% USA company I ordered this morning but was unable to complete my order due to a glitch on the credit card. Hopefully they will address this quickly as I’m looking forward to trying their socks!

It took me years to learn as well (in my case, dress shoes for the office).

I went to school at night. So, I spent 8+ hours on my feet in the office, then headed downtown for school 4 nights a week. By the time I got home, my feet were aching. Plus, it didn't take long for the crap shoes I was buying to start looking like crap.

One day, an older colleague told me to quit wasting my money and get some good quality shoes (he only wore Allen Edmonds). I finally did and was amazed at the difference. But, not only do they fit well, if taken care of, they last for years.

I live an hour from the factory and buy their socks several times a year. I can confirm they are some of the best socks offered in the US, although they do have a habit of chasing their offerings. Also, their socks have a code written in the top band of you ever want to reorder them.
