That was excellent, I wish I could find full vintage F1 races from the 60's that were HD quality.

High horsepower to weight is always fast given everyone is on the same tires. A slight thread drift, looking at those cars and how exposed the drivers were it's no wonder how so many drivers got killed in that era. A lot of them.

I was also noticing how many people were allowed to stand on the streets as spectators. At the 1:50 mark you see a spectator standing at the outside of a corner not even behind the hay bales. What could possible go wrong with that?

Back to the thread, a great post. Thanks.

Fast forward a few decades to perhaps the best finish in Monaco... Senna v. Mansell in the 1992 GP.

Oh, you meant Monaco GP racing.

I was expecting a film about a Chevrolet Monte Carlo which didn't exist in 62. Big Grin

I enjoyed the video. Thanks for posting it.

The course has changed mightily over the decades, as has the layout of Monaco, the harbor, and the rich and famous who attend.

I realized I watched the Monaco GP when I was about 12, making it 1972.

Thank you for posting this. I love, love, love this. Grand Prix is one of my favorite movies. What a fantastic and dangerous time in auto racing.

I just watched the full 96 Monaco GP, a race of attrition, I think only 8 cars finished.
