MuddflapDay 4 of the 2021 Hedge Tree Mating Season
This is the 4th day, and it looks like they're letting up. At least once, and sometimes twice a day, I've been blowing them off the roof, and using my push mower, with the bagger, to pick them up off the grass. I've been lucky, and haven't had to worry about the rain. If they get wet in the yard, they mush down, and they're hard on the grass. If they get wet on the roof, when they dry, it's like working with dried oatmeal. The only way to get them off the shingles, and gutter guards, is with a broom. If they're dry, a leaf blower works. If the wind is blowing any at all, they go up, and come right back down. the trees are on the south side of the house, and it seems like the wind is always out of the south. Thankfully this only last for about a week, and it's only once a year.

stickman428It’s better than the alternative though right? Imagine going for a walk and two trees are doing their thing vigorously and then you gotta explain that to your little kids.
