ArtieSChris Christie- loudmouthed, self-serving...
I had hope for the guy a long time ago. Any Republican who could get elected in New Jersey had to have some sand in him, and his willingness to take on his own legislature during his first term was refreshing.
At some point, though, probably around the time the Presidential Grub started gnawing on him, he lost it.
He's toast. I don't expect to see him go anywhere other than where he is, and I very much doubt he would ever be a member of a Republican administration in the future. Well, maybe a future Romney administration, but that isn't happening either.
"I vowed to myself to fight against evil more completely and more wholeheartedly than I ever did before. . . . That’s the only way to pay back part of that vast debt, to live up to and try to fulfill that tremendous obligation."

12131I had to double check the calendar to make sure it wasn't April 1st. Course should have been named “How to Run a Failed Political Campaign”. LMAO.
Chris Christie, who couldn’t win the presidency, will be teaching a course called “How to Run a Political Campaign” at Yale.

Those who can’t win the presidency, teach.
Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who suffered two unsuccessful presidential bids, will be joining the Yale University roster this fall to teach a course — on running for office.
The weekly seminar taught by Christie, 61, entitled “How to Run a Political Campaign,” is open to undergraduates as well as graduate students at Yale’s Jackson School of Global Affairs, and will focus on navigating the challenges of running for office in the new “confusing,” political landscape.
“When deciding whether to run for any office all of these issues must be confronted in addition to the core considerations of issue positions, fundraising and the most important question of all: If I do win, what do I want to accomplish and what kind of leader do I want to be?,” the course description reads.
Christie served as the Garden State’s governor from 2010 to 2018 and was the US attorney for New Jersey from 2002 to 2008.
He sought the Republican presidential nomination in 2016 but dropped out and endorsed Donald Trump.
Christie helped Trump with debate preparations in 2020 but eventually broke with the former president and refused to support his claims of voter fraud in the 2020 election.
Christie campaigned for the presidential nomination again in 2024 but dropped out in January just before the Iowa caucuses.
The former governor remains one of the most vocal Trump critics within the GOP.

drtenb330His brief rise to national attention had more to do with aligning himself with Trump than his own abilities. Like the Moon needs the sun to shine.
Opposing Trump won't go well - Trump is the real deal. Christie is all talk, and severely overestimates himself
Happens when you give up your morals, ethics and any shred of character.
Hopefully after a bit of exposure this coming week, reality will set iin and he can just go away

Lefty SigChristie's whole problem other than his weight, is that he was a Republican governor of a very Democrat state and had to pander to them. You cannot be a nationally competitive Republican in the 21st century and be anti-2nd amendment. In other words he no different than a country club Fudd who is OK with banning everything but his sporting shotgun.

spunk639Christie is like Bill Weld, and Charlie Baker, Democrats in Republican suits, they couldn't win Governorships as Democrat in their home states, because the Democrat candidate was gay, lesbian, trans, minority, or some other DEI issue, so they went to the R side and pulled the more conservative Democrat voters to their ticket. They're not conservatives or Republicans.
