Shit don't

I have 2 boys, 11 & 12. My wife and I were talking with the parents of my son's best friend and we were kicking around the idea of Airsoft rifles for Christmas. I know close to nothing about Airsoft, so I spent some time looking at them today. I am fairly certain I'm going to get an CYMA M4 AEG (Electric). I think I've settled on the model below, but wanted to ask opinions from others.

I think this is a decent "entry level" Airsoft carbine. I went with a carry handle and front post so my boys can customize it themselves later.

Any opinions, or brands that may be better? I'd probably like to stay under $300, including a charger and battery.

If I were a 12 year old that would be my very favorite thing in the universe!
I probably don't need to even say it but safety glasses at all times is a must.

It's gotta be better than an official Red Ryder, carbine action, 200-shot, range model air rifle, with a compass in the stock.

That's a very good starter package. Don't forget the eye pro and preferably a face shield (many fields require full face protection for anyone under 18).

The key thigs for this gun are the metal gearbox (and support from CYMA if anything were to break) and the adjustable hop-up.

There are better batteries and chargers out there, but this setup would get them up and going easy enough.

I shall respect you until you open your mouth, from that point on, you must earn it yourself.
