WOW! Just WOW! We are in Atlanta for Thanksgiving for our rotating holiday get together and we aways plan an event for Friday. This year it was the Cirque Du Soleil VOLTA and it was Awesome. I have never been to something like this and really did not have any expectations and I was totally blown away. Simply an amazing show. “We truly live in a wondrous age of stupid.” - 83v45magna "I think it's important that people understand free speech doesn't mean free from consequences societally or politically or culturally." -Pranjit Kalita, founder and CIO of Birkoa Capital Management

Just for the hell of it |
That was my reaction when I went to one of there shows. A friend ended up with tickets about 5-6 years ago to a show in the DC area. I wasn't really into going since it was on a weeknight and I didn't want to deal with traffic and didn't think it was something I would enjoy. Figured it would be something I wouldn't be into. I went anyway and was blown away. It takes a lot to impresses me and I was simply amazed and I sat through that show with my mouth open in amazement at what those performers could do. The best live show I have ever seen outside of a concert and it beat most of those. Glad you had a chance to go to one of these shows. _____________________________________ Because in the end, you won’t remember the time you spent working in the office or mowing your lawn. They must start on the west coast and go east because I saw Volta just about a year ago here in San Francisco. Every December they are in San Fran and my boss buys our team a set of tix. Every year it’s different and totally amazing. I’ve also seen several of the ones on permanent residence in Vegas as well. highly worth the money for a night of amazing entertainment or as like to joke, full time work for Olympic gymnasts who don’t medal and don’t get the endorsements but still need to make a living.

The thing about Cirque du Soleil shows (at least the ones I’ve been to) is that there are wheels within wheels. It seems like for most of the show there are at least two things, and often three, going on at once. You simply cannot take it all in. This does allow you to see the same show more than once and mostly see something entirely different. We’ve not seen VOLTA, but We have seen several (some traveling, several in Vegas), and they have yet to fail to impress.
