What hobbies do you have besides firearms?

SchmelbyWhat hobbies do you have besides firearms?
I build scale models, GT race cars, World war two aircraft and tanks.
And I love to read. I probably have 250 books about World war two and a hundred others.
I always wanted to get into RC aircraft, or helicopters. These days it probably doesn't
take much skill, they fly themselves.
Now that I'm retired and have disposible income looking for other fun things.

Movies/Tv show collecting

I dig knives and flashlights always have since I was a kid
“Car guy”. Owned everything from sport trucks to Miata’s to Porsches to BMWs etc.
All things considered the hookers and heroin are most frugal of my hobbies to be sure.

You’re probably not far from me. I should have you teach me.

. I fished a little as a kid and have tried fruitlessly to get back into it but I just don’t have the knowledge or skills.

I would love to collect late 60's muscle cars but I don't have that much money

BigSwedeIt was motorcycles until a lady pulled out in front of me and made me fly through the air like Superman
I don't think I will ever get back on one
Thinking seriously about going in another direction, an early 50's GM product like this Buick and Pontiac. Maintaining one or restoring one
The mechanical part of it would be fun for me, being a former Master Mechanic. The auto body part I would probably pay someone

That looks nice. My brother took me up to lake Erie to fish for Walleye, but a storm came through the day before and ruined
the fishing.

PHPaulWinter: Model building in various scales and my farm diorama. Maybe some occasional electronic dabbling, usually associated with models. Often includes work with my benchtop lathe and mill.
Summer: Motorcycles, flower gardening, veggie gardening.
As needed or as the muse moves me: Carpentry, welding, metal fab, repair/refurbishing of tractors, implements and machinery.
I have to stay busy, boredom is always expensive and occasionally dangerous either metaphorically or actually.
Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent.

RogueJSKReading. Usually 20th century military history non-fiction and historical, fantasy, or sci-fi fiction.
Boards games and tabletop RPGs. I meet up with a group of friends weekly to bullshit and play those.
Video games. Mainly FPSs and RPGs.
Cooking. I try to aim for 1-2 new recipes per week, and also work on perfecting recipes I've found that I really like.
Hiking. We have an abundance of great trails in the area, and even better ones within a 1-2 hour drive. I hit the trails with my dog frequently, especially during the fall.
DIY home improvement. I really like being able to tackle repairs and projects myself, and get a lot of satisfaction out of it. I also find skilled trades stuff fascinating, and love learning more about how houses are built, how plumbing works, etc. Probably has something to do with growing up watching This Old House with my dad. (But I'm also very cognizant of my limitations and am not afraid to call in the experts when needed.)
I used to be big into swimming, SCUBA diving, and hunting, but fell out of those over the past decade or so. I've considered getting back into those.
