NY Democrat figures out the 2nd Amendment
quote:
He's "privileged from arrest" during those specific times, for minor crimes.

Thus the rest of the discussion. I figured the original text ought to go up just for reference, but mentioned that the article doesn't make it clear that he could actually be tried for treason, felony or a breach of the peace on the facts presented.

Understood, but reading apparently isn't in my toolbox today. Big Grin

I don't think this would turn out the way he thinks it would turn out.

That would be ironic wouldn't it ? Hordes of armed DEMS with full clips (no magazines allowed), storming the WH to overturn our duly elected POTUS and destroy our Constitutional way of life. Now that would be a headline, except that the NYT still wouldn't understand the difference between a boolit and a round, and exactly where you put them into an "assualt weapon". Stupid democrats, stupid media, plenty of stupid to go around.

Just for the sake of clarity we can't even use bullet buttons. Magazines must not be removable, of course they never did tell us or decide what constitutes "not removable".
If the mag is removable the gun cannot have any features, ie. pistol grip, flash hider, threaded barrel, etc.

I do wonder how he can promote violence against POTUS and stay out of jail.

Aaaannd the mainstream media suddenly decides it's into nuanced, even wordy headlines...

If Trump Ignores Courts, Congressman Says That's 'Where The 2nd Amendment Comes In'

http://www.miamiherald.com/article205855384.html

[PHILDONAHUE]I mean, c'mon, who could argue with that?[/PHILDONAHUE]

In a way, though, it is kind of a gas to see a New York Congressman make the fundamental argument for the broadest reasonable reading of the Second Amendment. I know he doesn't like Trump, but how liberal is northwestern Long Island anyway?
