The 300 mil you are quoting is a lot of reusable assets.
That F-15E is reusable. The JDAM's he used were probably well under $150k
You may be a few hundred million high in price.

I don't know why they don't send out a couple of 120mm mortar carriers with those patrols. While I like the close air support action, a few well placed mortar rounds would have done the job more quickly and cheaply.

Reminds me of some helmet cam videos I saw from afcrapistan a couple years ago.
Some REALLY close air support. The team called in some A10 support to deal with snipers. A10 came down, opened up with that 30MM and turned that section of woods to fire.
Nate was wounded in that event, which happened when their vehicle got hit with an IED.
Second time they called in an A10 to take care of some snipers.
Those A10s are impressive, and I hope they are not scrapped as some dingbat wanted to do a while back.
