Black92LXNeed to rent a car in Sarasota for all of January and February
What is the best way to do a 2 month rental vehicle in Sarasota.
Just a standard rental company, schedule a different weekly Turo??

V-TailEnterprise has monthly rates. Might be worth checking their website for a quote.

TURO fees have gotten ridiculous. Their insurance is expensive, too. Asked a friend who has a small TURO fleet and he said those fees go straight to TURO and not him.
I'd go with a national rental chain. Your insurance might also cover the rental from a chain whereas they will not cover a TURO.

Russ59My daughter rents for weeks and months at a time for her job. However, for some reason she can’t go past 30 days. So she just returns to the airport and picks up another car.
She’s with Enterprise, so that may also include Alamo and National.

honestlouLook at SIXT, as I’ve found them to have very good rates compared to Enterprise and other major rental companies. They weren’t even on my radar until I used them last last. I’ve used them twice since with good results.

Ugh. Rented with Sixt for the first time in August out of Phoenix.
Plenty of cars and no wait at the counter, but some of the rudest staff, blatant bait-and-switch app tricks, and the most convoluted pick-up experience I’ve ever had.
Conversely, I just did a one-way, cross-country rental with Alamo from BWI to SLC over 2 weeks and had the perfect rental experience. Could not have gone better.

BeancookerI used Hertz when we were in Florida. In person, the staff were the nicest people ever. The jackwagons on the phone were less than great.
Anyways, I have nothing bad to say about Hertz. It was a great experience. They kept trying to give me cooler and nicer cars, but my wife being weird, wanted something simple. We had a Chevy Malibu. What a shitbox of an automobile.
Also, be sure to carry a credit card. You can’t rent a car (in most cases) with a debit card. Not even a Visa debit that you can normally run as “credit”.
They require an actual credit card.

JellyRented a car with Hertz confirming email said I might be forced to rent a GM electric vehicle. I canceled.

P250UA5We use National almost exclusively, as I get a corporate rate through work.
Never done more than a week, though. Scored a loaded Jeep Wagoneer (alternative was a lower trim Tahoe).

GibbI rent Avis/Budget for work. If longer than 30 days, we return and swap out vehicles (sometimes we get the same one for the second rental, all depends on milage/service intervals).
I admit, I'm in their preferred programs, so renting is a breeze (no lines, no counter BS). Before I was in those programs it was less than optimal needing to verify payment and licensing. I think that's most company's though.

jimmy123xRental car, Budget does monthly. Rent from a NON airport location, as the airport fees/taxes can up the cost of the rental 10-30%.

I am also a National guy. I’ve rented cars from them from the Sarasota airport and kept them over a month.
I was also on an expense account so maybe they aren’t the cheapest. But I like them the best.
