https://www.msn.com/en-us/news...his-fall/ar-AA116YM8 Former New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio will be teaching classes on politics as a visiting fellow at Harvard University. De Blasio will be starting his instruction this fall with the Institute of Politics at Harvard Kennedy School but will not be there full time, instead teaching various discussions, events, and programming throughout the semester. The mayor himself attended Columbia University and New York University. “I am happy to join the IOP to help inspire our nation’s next generation of leaders to find ways to serve in politics and public service, and to build a government that serves working people,” de Blasio said "It will be a privilege to offer lessons I’ve learned through decades of public service. My key message to them: we CAN make bold progressive change. I know because I’ve lived it."This message has been edited. Last edited by: sdy,

Standard protocol, just like when the useless Gov of MI, Grandholm went to Berkeley. We could delve even further, like Chelsea Clinton getting paid big $$ to sit on the board of a few corporations. The process is very lucrative to those involved. This message has been edited. Last edited by: sourdough44,

Communism 101? He couldn’t even do that, because like all well known communists, he’s not very good at it. Mostly that’s a bullshit thing universities do, but in this case it’s counterproductive for Harvard. My university had the late Dr. Richard Leakey “on staff” the same way. Really just an attempt to gain credibility for the school by association, but in reality giant waste of money. The university had a very large fairly extravagant house they maintained just for him to stay at the couple weeks out of the year he would visit. Just another of the many scams in academia.

Initially I thought the thread title: “Bill de Blasio to tech at Harvard” had a typo. Maybe not, Serious about crackers

But at Harvard that isn’t considered a trade, it is considered a “profession.”

How bad do you have to be at your job to get hired by these places? What did he put on his resume? That he turned NYC into a better place, that he reduced crime, helped the economy, turned the public schools around, left with all time high popularity?

At Rotterdam, London, Warsaw and half a hundred other places, they put their rather naive theory into operation.
