I also wear an older Tilley wool winter hat.
Have two, one black and one brown. Both have the ear flaps and the older black one has a flap that covers the forehead.
Sorry to hear that all the Tilley hats are not made in Canada anymore.

I feel like I'm getting a hat education in this thread. I use a Ushanka, but I get cold easily and my protruding ears suffer the worse.

A couple of us have mentioned in this thread that we favor a ushanka in very cold weather.

I have a fur felt brimmed hat for winter I wear to work sometimes. It's actually very warm, and you can't beat it with a stick when it's raining, sleeting, snowing, in cold winter wind.
