I'm talking this evening with a friend about a project we're working on. At one point he said, "It's going to be like turkey hunting wearing a glow stick and a disco ball, but I'll try!"

My favorite new analogy is how blue haired people are like poison dart frogs. They are both brightly colored to let you know how toxic they are.

Works on Pink, Green, Purple and other ridiculous hair colors too.
