Given there are actual rules of debate, yet little evidence in the MSM to demonstrate what those might be. Kayleigh McEnany is another impressive verbal scrapper in the press room briefings with the Acosta-buddy-brigade, who never actually listened to anything she had to say anyway. **************~~~~~~~~~~ "I've been on this rock too long to bother with these liars any more." ~SIGforum advisor~ "When the pain of staying the same outweighs the pain of change, then change will come."~~sigmonkey

Me and a coworker were talking about her three ring binder. She'd spit out "Bob, I have it right here on June 30th 2018 you said X, now you're saying Y?" Jesse Sic Semper Tyrannis

Laura Ingraham Mark Levin Chris Christie I tried to start listening to Ben Shapiro but couldn’t get into him because of how he speaks, I agree it’s kinda distracting. I’d rather just follow him via a written medium like Twitter.

The problem is, a good debater won't "win" the debate. We have at least 2 generations of useful idiots who think a debate is a "twitter clapback" or a "pwnd" moment. It isn't about the substance of the argument, it is about the theatrics, and the "cool" language. If you say it with a rhyme, or with a cool, pop culture insult, it wins. If it is factual and logical, it is boring and no one cares. The dumbing down of America is nearly complete. Strive to live your life so when you wake up in the morning and your feet hit the floor, the devil says "Oh crap, he's up."

Thomas Sowell probably wins any debate judged entirely on subject knowledge and reasoning skills.

If you're including folks from the past and "best" has something to do with convincing the audience of the debate to side with you, Ronald Reagan.

Left-Handed, NOT Left-Winged! |
Shapiro's ability to quickly reference facts and data from memory that destroy leftist arguments is probably the best I've seen. He is fast and wordy but I have no trouble following him. Dinish speaks well and I like how he explains things, but I haven't seen him answering hostile questions. Jordan Peterson's ability to stay on point and be very explicit about what he is saying and what he is not saying without excessive words or tangents is outstanding as well. And his poise under hostile interviews by leftist "journalists" is also outstanding.

I would add Larry Elder to the list of those mentioned. He is very quick to defunct bad facts the left propagates.

Best debater is kind of subjective. There are a lot of them already mentioned but the one I enjoy listening to is Candace Owens. She has a lot going for her. She is intelligent, articulate and attractive but her biggest asset is the fact that she is a black female conservative that puts white liberal elitists at a disadvantage from the get go. She also knows where to stick the knife and when to twist it. Jim ________________________ "If you can't be a good example, then you'll have to be a horrible warning" -Catherine Aird

W.F. Buckley Jr was a great speaker and writer. This was one of his famous debates. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jy68qXMcGn8

I like Ben Shapiro he is very skillful as a debater. As for his style in speaking, a lot of people cant stand it, but, I think it might be due to the fact that he may be on the autisim spectrum. The timbre of his voice, the monotone, the lack of emotion is very much like the way people on the autistic spectrum speak. If you think you can, YOU WILL!!!!!

It annoys the hell out of me that he and Jason Chaffetz left Congress to make big bucks as FNC talking heads. All talk, no action. _________________________ “Remember, remember the fifth of November!"

The main premise of the conservative ideology is smaller government. When is the last time that has actually happened? 100 years ago perhaps. So, after all of their campaign promises for decades they are either unwilling or unable to deliver. So which is it? What good are they, and why do they deserve our continued support? _________________________ OH, Bonnie McMurray!
