The last time I was at Tony's was decades ago.

I was in Toledo (Point Place) for my Aunt's 80th Birthday today. My Brother and I decided to go up early and hit Tony's.

Hungarian Hot Dogs, Pierogies and Pickles did not disappoint.

If you are ever in T-Town, I recommend you stop in.

I've eaten at one. The food was great. The chili mac was great as well as the hot dogs, which I think are Hungarian.......Sadly they only have locations in Ohio.

Isn’t that the place Klinger talked about in several M*A*S*H episodes?

"If you’re a leader, you lead the way. Not just on the easy ones; you take the tough ones too…” – MAJ Richard D. Winters (1918-2011), E Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne

"Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil... Therefore, as tongues of fire lick up straw and as dry grass sinks down in the flames, so their roots will decay and their flowers blow away like dust; for they have rejected the law of the Lord Almighty and spurned the word of the Holy One of Israel." - Isaiah 5:20,24

Name sounds awfully familiar. I think Klinger mentioned it in a Mash episode.

Ok, I type slow.

I catch them now and then out on the north west side when we take a patient to Promedica. Dogs are on point but try the chicken paprikash.

They and Handel's ice cream are Toledo favorites

Indeed it is. If you can find their sweet hot pickles for purchase, they're worth it at any price.

I haven't been there in decades. I went there after hearing about them on "MASH", and thought it was very good, but not worth the hour drive to get there for me.

Been there. great place if you like to put your entire platter into one bowl! Just like Primanti's of Pittsburg does to a sandwich.
Not my kind of eating.

Try to hit it once a year or so. Fun and different.
