Yup they do, if you had a .45LC blank going off just above your head you'd wish you had it too.
There are both internal and external versions. My wife's go to horse does best with the internal ones. They look like a miniature tribble from star trek if you are that age...
Google Pomms ear plugs for horses and you will see a bunch, but there are a lot of different brands. I have no wish for these horses to be deaf when older so they get some form of protection whenever there is shooting around them. Her other CMS horse does fine with internal and external so he gets external ones since I think they give much higher suppression.

Interesting. I've never had much respect for folks who would subject a horse to that noise. It's good to know others feel the same, and that protection is out there, as it should be. I've never seen it, but it sounds like a real advance. I hope all the participants are using it, and I hope the ones who don't refuse to wear hearing protection themselves. Goose, gander, and all.

220, the way SASS calculates it. It also exceeds the maximum velocity allowed.

I jest... my wife has a better job than me, but we’re still not in “horse money” territory. That’s a whole different level!

This does sound like an excellent excuse to get a .357 lever gun, though Wink

.357 leverguns are obnoxiously fun.

Lots of good info, thank you. I'll ask my wife to read through this and we'll ponder it a bit.

Knowing what one is talking about is widely admired but not strictly required here.

Although sometimes distracting, there is often a certain entertainment value to this easy standard.

I'll 4th (or 5th?) the cost objections on horses. Little known factoid: horses were invented by God to make boats look like a reasonable investment....

I've always been intrigued by CAS events, just never made time to go take a look. I probably need to stay away, as my wife is NOT half a bottle in, and will not appreciate my interests.
