erj_pilotPaging all Cell Phone Technicians/CSR's
If you work in the Cell Phone industry as a Customer Service Rep or Technician, I could use some advice.
Phone: Motorola Moto X (1st gen)
Carrier: AT&T
Issue:My house must be lined with lead (actually it's all the TechShied for attic cooling) because I can BARELY receive one (1) bar of signal strength on my phone. A lot of times, I don't receive a signal whatsoever.
I have a zBoost signal booster antenna wired into the house, but the indoor unit bit the big one...had to trash it. To be truthful, I'm not even sure it if was the correct unit for my Moto X phone.
So those that are tech savvy and know what will work with my Moto X, what do you recommend? Should I just get a replacement zBoost unit or is there a better product on the market? The antenna is still wired, so will it be compatible with any unit I buy?
I moved into this house in May 2008, so I'm sure the zBoost unit was a good 8-9 years old. I'm sure there's something that would better fit my needs after almost 10 years. Any and all advice/suggestions is GREATLY appreciated!
Thanks!!

dewhorseWilson makes good repeaters, or your carrier might sell repeaters as well.
Normally you get at least a 10dbm drop going inside, a good repeater with an externally mointed ant will overcome this.

OKCGeneCould it be your phone? Does anyone else's phone work well while in your house?
Maybe your house is somewhat EMP proof?

Forgot to mention I was on AT&T.
My brother and SIL are on one of the other carriers and don't seem to have a problem when they're here.

If your carrier doesn't work well where you need the phone most, then why don't you switch carriers?

This is your best option. If you complain enough they will give it to you free.
