I was using Tiny-Pic, which was free. It is gone.

Who else? And I want free.

I use Flickr (not paid), which works fine, but it's a little tricky. You have to figure out the exact code string to use for embedding to the forum. The tendency is to copy and paste way too much code. Took me a while to figure it out.

^^That is the correct basic procedure for hosting from Flickr. However, it will paste four lines of code, three of which are unnecessary. If you can figure out which line to save, you can prune the three extraneous lines for a clean embed.

Why bother? There is no extra code in the final post.

And by doing so you have violated the Guidelines for using Flickr, and they might cancel your account. Flickr provides that nice "Share" option to make it simple and quick to post photos from there to other venues, while adhering to their Guidelines. You'd best follow it.

Another here, happy with it so far.

Pretty much only use it for photos I want to post. The rest sit in my google photos acct, auto-upload via android phone.

FotoTime does have a free "edition," but limits your picture to a 100x100px thumbnail. It's only $23.95 a year, less than $2 a month.

I looked up FotoTime and their offering for $47.98 provided only 16GB of storage. For 2 dollars more in Flickr I can have essentially unlimited storage--at least 1 TB.

I was just trying to be helpful to other members and add to your very excellent tutorial. I should have been way clearer about that. Your procedure is in fact the method I currently use, and I learned it from you. Thank you for the legal, I'll look into it.

I like IMGUR. The phone app makes it super easy to take and upload photos.

How do you resize (make smaller) in the Imgur mobile app?
