Interesting BBC show on a pilot who’s career spanned biplanes to the Buccaneer. First man to land a jet aircraft on a carrier. Flew over 600 a pantload of types of aircraft. Worth watching.
And well over 2,000 carrier landings. Unlikely ever to be beaten in either record. Although I recall number of aircraft types as 487.

Very modest guy who not only did it all...but has records that will never be broken. Flew Wildcats off an escort carrier hunting FW Condors before ship was torpedoed. Flew every type of German and allied aircraft - even landed a Mosquito on a carrier deck. Flew the DH Swallow right up to Mach...then almost died but able to get under control. Great stories made better because his are real. There is a documentary on Prime.

Eric Brown wrote a GREAT book about flying all the different captured Nazi aircraft after WWII. It is well worth picking up for any Aircraft, WWII or history buff.......
Remember, this is all supposed to be for fun...................
