I have a new Sumsung A13. I know it one of the lower end current offerings. Got that.

It is not the phone my six year old Moto G5 plus was. But I digress.

Anyway, I cannot view a 7 minute video with audio. It kind of surprises me with all the video everywhere why I cannot view or listen to it. My G5 would not do it either. Maybe a 20 second video before it went to shit. There has to be something I am doing wrong. Don't tell me this phone cannot do this in this day and age of these stupid smart phones.

Help please.

Could be bandwidth issues.

ok, what does that mean?

I don’t have an android phone but I’ll toss out a few universal things. Is your phone connected to your wireless home internet network or is this happening over the cellular network? That’s part of why smschulz suggested bandwidth. Are you getting sufficient bandwidth (data speed) to the phone to play the videos?

To clarify your original post, are you getting no sound at all for any multimedia or were you saying it stopped after 20 secs?
Also do the videos play without sound or just not play at all?
If you go to YouTube or any video website, do videos and audio play from there?
If they DO work from there is just multimedia in texts doing this?

A couple things to check:
** Check if the physical mute button is switched on. I do that accidentally sometimes.
** Go into settings and find the volume section and see where the master volume slider is set. If it’s all the way down, clicking the physical volume buttons won’t do anything.
** Also while in settings look for the “Do not disturb” setting. Google if you need help locating the location. If this is accidentally on (and many people reported there’s was) it will mute multimedia sounds by default. This would be more likely if you have ringer and text tones playing but multimedia not.

That’s a few off the top of my noggin. Unless the the speaker itself is broken, the phone is more than capable, so it’s not a phone quality/ability issue.

You might try downloading VLC from the Play Store. It is an excellent multimedia player, with apps for both phones and PC/Mac.
