Wrong term. 'Realistic' is the term to use. From GunBroker to Craigslist to Facebook Marketplace and a dozen other online sources to purchase items from, scammers run rampant. 'If' this transaction actually occurred as the GS owner asserts, he has virtually zero control over resolving it at this point for the Op. The Op has been more than patient and gracious in allowing the GS owner space to try and pull a rabbit out of a hat. Asking for a refund when this screw up was identified is not negative in any way. It's rational and reasonable, especially given the circumstances the Op has noted.

I'm hopeful this thing can get worked out and the Op can receive his purchase. The GS owner offering a refund is at least encouraging.

I hope this is resolved satisfactorily. A major GS has a lot to lose if there is bad publicity.

I don't think I've ever done business with GunBroker. I've bought several via Gallery of Guns, and they've all been super efficient. I use a little shop in Wylie, TX for the transfers.

There, I changed it. Happy? Now I'll be a middle aged black woman.

Everytime I try to link to a smaller avatar, I get a message saying "That image is not accessible." Weird, because all the other images are.

Me? I could care less.
I just know that some with slow connections do mind. Wink

Hope the situation gets corrected and you get your rifle.

Well, I just got an e-mail from the owner who said the SA22 is in transit from the FFL that got it back to him and he will expedite it to my FFL as soon as received. That's encouraging.

I asked the dealer I bought it from to make sure it was still as it was when shipped to the wrong FFL. In other words, factory new. Got an email a few minutes ago. He said it came back, has been inspected, is as it was, and is on its way to my FFL now.

Glad it all worked out. Often, a little patience and goodwill works.

Yep, shit happens. 2 weeks ago I sold some SCUBA gear on a different forum I belong to. I boxed both items up and went to the Post Office. 1 of the boxes was slightly oversized and they wanted $65 to ship it. I shipped 1 item and brought the other one back home and re-boxed it. I type all the addresses into a MS Word file I have as my handwriting sucks. Well, I printed the label for the box I had already shipped and put it on the new package. Lucky for me I caught it as I was getting ready to go back to the Post Office.

People are quick to judge here sometimes, but shit happens. Especially if you are boxing up multiple packages in brown cardboard. His employee made a mistake apparently.

Tracking number shows delivery scheduled for tomorrow at my FFL. Glad I waited (at least for now). Hope it actually arrives in the advertised "factory new" condition.

Maybe. I’m not into new age tutti fruit “manifesting” shit, but I have noticed that at times in my life when I have been more negative, more things have seemed to turn out crap. With a more positive attitude I may still run across the occasional problem, but they seem more rare. YMMV.
