I know it’s a long shot, but a friend of a friend apparently needs their transmission rebuilt (or replaced) in Durham, Ontario.

If they were local, I’d know exactly where to send them. Here is not Durham, Ontario, however.

Any recommendations will be passed along.

Thanks.

Sorry, don’t know a shop, but wonder about the type of vehicle, year, & miles?

A few vehicles ago I had some tranny problems. The dealership took some readings with codes. They said about $1-3000, depending on specifics. I ended up trading the vehicle off, at dealership.

Year, Make & Model would be wise to post here!

We may have a member that's also a member of a brand specific car forum that could help. With Year/Make/Model info, someone 'may' be able to get a response by posting on that forum and relaying the info back here.

I wasn’t going to bother asking for that b/c it didn’t seem particularly useful since I’m not trying to source parts, troubleshoot, or estimate cost. But you’re absolutely right. I’ll ask and update.

Update: It’s a 2011 Toyota Sienna AWD. But it seems that they’ve decided to go with a reman and have one on order (2-3 weeks), so I suppose it doesn’t matter anymore.

Thanks.

You may want to edit the thread title so no one else attempts to help.
