Looks like Blue Book of Gun Values company has been busy
It looks like the Blue Book of Gun Values company has been busy since the last time I cracked open one of their annual values guide bibles:

https://bluebookofgunvalues.co...ignment#how-it-works

I'd figured they'd have moved on, and it looks like they've gone way beyond what I would have otherwise imagined.

What do you think about using this outfit to sell guns where they handle everything ?

Their website looks pretty professional, with excellent services for buying and selling. And what would they offer compared to Gunbroker for example ?

Have any of you guys used their online services ?

interesting proposal,

did not now they had offered that service,

used the book, and online service for a few years, until I realized they were sometimes, or rather most times, off on real world values,

the book is a good tool to help ID particular models, but the pricing in the book is not exactly accurate,

my experience has been some brands way overprices, some undervalued and very few at what they are currently worth

saying that as a dealer (FFL/SOT) that does this for living,

to be honest, it kinda tickles, and saddens me, to see a group of guys using the book the price stuff of justify their price, when there are more accurate tools out there

People sell their guns? I mean, while they're still alive??

Heck, I don't think that is a bad idea at all.

That is my favorite book!

I have gotten quite a few P220s in 7.65mm and .38 Super at the $705 price point that this book reccomends.

Interesting concept, live gun auctions format for FFL’s to sell. I am surprised as an FFL I have not seen any e-mails promoting this for dealers. I am all for anyone who can take some business away from Gunbroker, they are the giant that nobody can slay. I rarely sell there due to their fees.

The best method of determining the value of a specific in your area is the auction. I've used Gunbroker to value guns for years. 15 percent is about what a dealer would charge, so this sounds like a pretty good deal.

I'd like to see one of their auctions in real time. They show a video of a past auction and it looked like amatuer hour. Interesting concept and there is a need.

There is a semi-local auctioneer who is building a brisk firearm auction business in my area. He takes 10% from seller and 10% from buyer. Beckort Auctions if anyone wants to browse.

Hi doublesharp. I watched those videos of their past auctions, it was pitiful, selling junk. I didn't see any professional FFL selling good stuff.

I sent them an email for access to additional auction videos if they have any, since I would not want to contract with Blue Book if that's the vendor they're using, unless I can see any past video auctions of Blue Book ffls, and how stuff moves.

Well I heard back from them, they didn't understand the gist of my question to them, so I replied back with more clarity to see what they say.

I think they might be a startup, or a restart from a previous failure, not sure. If that's the case that would explain while bigger FFLs aren't selling better pieces.

Depending on what they say, I may contact the good Blue Book people to ask them why they chose that contractor, if their intent is to sell good stuff included with everything else.

Maybe there is no vendor who specializes in decent stuff, I could be completely wrong on this. Maybe that's why GunBroker is so successful.
